RELIGION, PUBLIC SPACE, AND CIVIL SOCIETY: Religious Social Movement to Realize Justice of The Surakarta Community

Surakarta is an urban area that grows dynamically in line with demographic, economic, cultural, religious, and infrastructure developments leading to a smart city. People know as multicultural, multi-ethnic, cultural religious Surakarta's public space becomes bridge for religion campaign citizenship rights social justice. How the presence of sphere promoting justice? This research type qualitative descriptive research, data collection purposes, observations, in-depth interviews, documentation are carried out. The analysis model s using interactive analysis. Because there various kinds pluralism, democracy also society, this reason expected not threaten these things. growth pluralism contestation often triggers socio-religious conflicts. encourage development moderate discourses discourse on democracy, freedom, justice, peace amid strengthening role socio-political life.
